State Police say a 29-year-old Port Byron resident was arrested for driving while intoxicated after being dispatched to a parking lot on State Route 34 in Weedsport.
The incident unfolded on Friday and resulted in the arrest of Chris R. Calkins, 29, of Port Byron. He was charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle.
Calkins was placed under arrest after failing multiple standard field sobriety tests and transported to SP Auburn where he provided a breath sample of 0.18 percent.
He was issued uniform traffic tickets returnable to the Village of Weedsport Court.
