State Police: Driver charged with DWAI in Sennett, held at Cayuga County Jail

Troopers arrested a Staten Island resident for driving while ability impaired by drugs after a traffic stop on East Genesee Street.

The traffic stop took place in the Town of Sennett, and Esther Batista, 37, of Staten Island was arrested on multiple charges.

She was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, moving from lane unsafely, crossing road hazard markings and failure to use four way flashers.



Police say she was driving erratically and was placed under arrest — before being transported to State Police Auburn for processing.

She was arraigned in Owasco Town Court and remanded to the Cayuga County Jail in lieu of $4,000 cash bail or $8,000 secured bond.
