The Hobart College lacrosse team overcame a six-goal deficit to defeat Colgate University 12-11 on Boswell Field this afternoon. Sophomore Justin Scott scored a career-high six goals, tying the record for a Statesman in a Division I game.
Scott caught fire in the fourth quarter, producing a natural hat trick in less than four minutes. He also fired home the game-winning goal with 3:23 remaining in the contest. On the difference maker, he got a step on his man behind the cage, ran past goal line extended on the edge of the crease, and shoveled home his team-leading 13th goal of the year.
