Police: Ohio man drove drunk, without license in Penn Yan

Police say a 32-year-old Ohio man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop on Walnut Street in Penn Yan.

Jonas L. Wilson, 32, was observed operating his vehicle erratically in Penn Yan when a traffic stop was executed.

Police say that Wilson was placed to field sobriety tests after the odor of alcohol was detected coming from the vehicle.



He was taken into custody and submitted to a chemical test at the Yates County Sheriff’s Office. He was charged with DWI common law, unlicensed operation, failure to keep right, failure to stop at a stop sign, and open container inside a vehicle.

All of the charges will be answered at a later date in Penn Yan Village Court.
