Ann Sandroni wins Lake to Lake Women leadership award

Local business owner Ann Sandroni will receive the Lake to Lake Women’s 2018 leadership award at a March 20 dinner at The Gould Hotel.

Sandroni and her late husband, Patrick, have operated the Downtown Deli on Fall Street since 1994, “demonstrating that hard work and perseverance can lead to success even in the toughest economic climate.”

The Downtown Deli continues to be one of the strongest businesses in the community.

“Ann exemplifies the spirit of Lake to Lake Women in every way,” said Diana Smith, a member of the organization and a former village mayor. “She proves that women can be successful, serve as leaders in their community and can help others to succeed.”

Sandroni and her family have been active volunteers in Seneca Falls and Seneca County, sharing their food service expertise to support charitable events and sponsoring an annual Thanksgiving dinner for local families in need. She also has worked closely with business owners to energize the Seneca Falls Business Association to collaborate and plan events that generate traffic and benefit all members.

“Ann’s ability to motivate and inspire others may be her secret,” added Adriene Emmo, secretary of Lake to Lake Women. Emmo said Sandroni has retained loyal employees and customers.
