Auburn PD seek public’s help after stabbing at CC’s Tavern, suspect at large

Police are investigating a stabbing, which left a 30-year-old with multiple wounds at CC’s Tavern, located on Columbus Street.

The incident unfolded around 1 a.m. on Sunday, according to police. The victim’s identity is not being released at this time was treated at Auburn Community Hospital — then transported to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse.

According to police, the severity of the wounds suffered was the cause of the transfer. It’s unclear if the injuries were considered ‘life-threatening’.



The Auburn Police Department is asking anyone with information about the incident to call Detective Chris Coopper at (315) 255-4706.

Police say callers can remain anonymous.

It was the second event that unfolded in Auburn that night. Just about 20 minutes earlier — an Auburn police officer was injured while investigating a fight on Fort Street.
