New charge for Canandaigua man accused of hate crime

Canandaigua Police are bringing more charges against a Canandaigua man already accused of hate crime.

Now, they are charging Michael Orbino, 41, of making terroristic threats. This comes after he was accused of yelling racial slurs at two teenagers on Valentine’s Day at Baker Park.

Court documents allege he said, in part, “I’m a white supremacist. I’m going to get what I want and kill all (N-word)s.”

“It’s not acceptable in this community or any community,” said Canandaigua Police Chief Stephen Hedworth. “In the following days, we obtained more information about other incidences that happened around that same time frame, in other areas in the city.”
