On Thursday at approximately 7:35 a.m. deputies responded along with the East Bloomfield Fire Department and Canandaigua Ambulance to the area of State Route 5&20 just west of McCann Road for a one-car accident.
Deputies say Meagan Tierney, 18, of Victor was traveling east when she reportedly fell asleep at the wheel. Her car exited the roadway, struck a mailbox and a telephone pole, before coming to rest facing northwest off the road.
She complained of neck pain and was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital by Canandaigua Ambulance.
Her vehicle airbags deployed, and she was wearing a seatbelt, according to deputies.
No tickets were issued.
