Wayne County Sheriff Barry Virts reports the arrest of a Lyons woman following an investigation into a domestic incident.
Deputies arrested Anionae L. Stergis, 26, for first-degree criminal contempt and second-degree harassment. She is accused of punching a person who is listed as a protected party on an order of protection.
As result Stergis was arraigned in Lyons Town Court and remanded to the Wayne County Jail.
The Judge issued a new order of protection at the arraignment, ordering Stergis to stay away from the victim.
She is scheduled to return to court at a later date to answer the charge, according to police.
