Albany shreds Syracuse in Dome, 15-3 (full coverage)

Third-ranked Albany beat No. 8 Syracuse, 15-3, before 7,238 fans in the Carrier Dome on Saturday.

Jamie Trimboli, Nate Solomon and Kevin Hutchings scored for the Orange, while ‘Cuse goalie Dom Madonna had a Syracuse career-high 11 saves.

“Obviously, I’m disappointed with how we played today,” said head coach John Desko. “I have to give a lot of credit to Albany, and I told Scott Marr that afterwards. Syracuse and Albany have squared off annually since 2004, with each matchup taking place in the Carrier Dome, including 2004 and 2016 NCAA Tournament matchups.
