Two Ithacans arrested on multiple charges

A four-month investigation has resulted in two Ithaca residents' arrests on drug charges Wednesday.

The New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team, Troop C Uniform Force and a state police K9 unit conducted an investigation on state Route 79 in the Town of Ithaca that led to the arrest of Maleek Miller, 32, and Kaitlin Smith, 35, troopers said.

Investigators seized about 4 ounces of cocaine, a digital scale, cellphones and about $1,600 cash, police said. Troopers arrested Miller on charges of felony third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia.
