Police: Auburn man threatened teen with a stick

An Auburn man is in trouble with the law for allegedly threatening a 14-year-old with a stick.

The Auburn Police Department said officers responded to a domestic incident call around 11:48 p.m. Wednesday at 58 Chedell Place. William P. Pilkenton, of that address, displayed and swung a stick at a 14-year-old child, police said.

Police added that the victim was in reasonable fear, though was able to exit the residence before being struck.

Pilkenton had a brief struggle with officers at the time of arrest, police said. The 64-year-old was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a class D felony. He was also charged with second-degree menacing and resisting arrest, both class A misdemeanors.
