Rochester Red Wings reach deal with Monroe County; will stay at Frontier Field

Rochester’s oldest and most popular sports team will remain in the Flower City, as the Rochester Red Wings and Monroe County have signed a lease deal to keep the team at Frontier Field for at least another decade.

Monroe County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo and Rochester Red Wings President/CEO/COO Naomi Silver announced the deal at a joint press conference at Frontier Field on Monday. The lease will run from April 1, 2018 to April 1, 2028 with a mutual option to extend it another ten years to 2038.
