The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Penn Yan man following a hit-and-run property damage accident in the Town of Gorham.
The incident unfolded around 2:22 p.m. and involved a short pursuit, according to deputies, who say that Devon R. Pierce, 25, of Penn Yan was operating his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
Deputies say that following the short pursuit, Pierce was placed through a series of field sobriety tests, which determined he was intoxicated.
As result, he was charged with driving while intoxicated, four counts of aggravated unlicensed operation, following too closely, improper passing and two counts of leaving the scene of a property damage accident.
The charges will be answered in Canandaigua Town Court, according to deputies.
