On Monday at approximately 9:02 p.m. the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department arrested a 33-year-old Lyons man following a shoplifting complaint in Seneca Falls.
Christopher D. Sergeant, 33, of Lyons was observed by employees passing all points of sale, making no attempt to pay for a shopping cart full of items.
When confronted by the employee’s Sergeant ran from the store, and he was captured by police while fleeing. Sergeant was charged with petit larceny, a misdemeanor.
He was processed and released on an appearance ticket. The charges will be answered in Seneca Falls Town Court at a later date.
