Investigators say four vehicles struck an Auburn woman on Route 298 Thursday night, fatally wounding the 26-year-old.
Deputies identified Heather Lardeo as the victim of the February 1 accident, which happened near East Taft Road. Investigators said Lardeo was walking back to her disabled vehicle when she was struck by the vehicles.
Deputies said the call for help initially came in as a disabled vehicle complaint. Upon arrival, deputies found Lardeo, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators said the drivers of the vehicles all stopped and contacted police. At this time no tickets or charges have been brought forward.
