Sheriff: Auburn woman killed after exiting disabled vehicle in Cicero

A 26-year-old Auburn woman was killed after being struck by a car in Cicero, according to the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office.

Heather Lardeo, 26, of Auburn was traveling north on Route 298 around 5:23 p.m. when her pickup truck ended up in a ditch.

After walking to a nearby business to seek help, deputies said in a release that she was struck by multiple vehicles.

The incident unfolded on East Taft Road and started with a disabled vehicle request. Deputies say that she was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation into the incident remains active.
