The Bloomfield varsity girls basketball team picked up an important Finger Lakes West win on Thursday night as they defended their home course against Red Jacket winning 46-45 in overtime. Amelia Poole hit a pair of free throws at the end of regulation to force overtime. Poole finished with 12 points. The Bomber’s Braelin Scott recorded her 15th straight double-double finishing with 20 points and 16 rebounds after fouling out late in the fourth quarter. Bloomfield now stands at 14-1 on the season, 11-1 in the FL West and maintains a slim half-game lead over the South Seneca Lady Falcons in the league standings.

So in girls hoops, it looks like the Feb. 9 game between @goBCSbombers & @SouthSenecaCSD — at Bloomfield — will essentially decide the #FLX West reg season title. Bloomfield is 10-1 in league play, SS is 11-2.
