The Red Creek girls varsity basketball team won their 6th straight game on Monday night, and it was their biggest win of the season, at Gananda by a score of 50-47. The win pulls the Lady Rams within one-half game of the Blue Panthers in the Wayne County league standings.
Emma Griffen led a balanced Red Creek with 12 points and 5 rebounds. Sienna Fernaays scored 10 points. Maggie Meyer, Isabella Wilbur and Alex Mosqueda added 8 points each in the win. Red Creek led 28-23 at halftime and held off Gananda for the 3-point road win.
The two teams meet again at Red Creek on February 9th in a game that will likely decide the league championship.
Gananda losses in a close game against red creek. We are gonna flood the creek next Friday in their place. Nice work tonight girls.
