On Sunday at approximately 6:23 pm IPD Officers responded to the Quik Shoppe located at 317 Third Street for a report of a robbery that had just occurred.
Upon arrival, it was reported to Officers that the suspect entered the Quik Shoppe, approached the counter, and then asked the clerk for all of the money in the register while displaying a handgun that was tucked into his pants waistband.
The clerk provided the suspect with an undetermined amount of money at which time the suspect fled on foot in the direction of Bowl-O-Drome.
The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5’7” tall, slim build, wearing a ski-type mask, dark colored pants, jacket, and shoes.
The investigation into this incident is ongoing, according to police.
The department is asking anyone with information that would aid this investigation to contact IPD.
