Democrats in three of the 24th Congressional District’s four counties will hold a forum and designate a candidate next month to challenge U.S. Rep. John Katko.
The Cayuga, Oswego and Wayne Democratic committees will host a public forum at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7 at the Hilton Garden Inn, 74 State St., Auburn. The event is open to the public.
After the forum, the committees will meet to designate a candidate. There are two declared Democrats in the race: Dana Balter, a Syracuse resident and Syracuse University professor, and Anne Messenger, a career management professional from Manlius.
