Auburn police: Calls for service, investigations decrease in December despite more arrests

Most numbers continued to drop for the Auburn Police Department in December as police reported an overall decrease in investigations and calls for service.

According to the department’s monthly activity report, police received 2,775 calls for service last month — that was down from 2,814 in November. In addition, officers investigated fewer crimes, including 47 larcenies (down from 68), 111 domestic violence cases (down from 129) and nine fraud complaints (down from 17).
