The Town of Seneca Falls Police Department is advising residents and visitors that on Saturday the Women March in Seneca Falls will be taking place.
The Women March ceremony will begin at approximately 10 am at the Women’s Rights National Historic Park on Fall Street and conclude at approximately 2 pm at the Community Center.
The march will step off from the Women’s Rights National Historic Park on Fall Street at 11:10 am and proceed to turn north onto State Street, east onto South Park Street, south onto Cayuga Street and then west back down Fall Street and down Water Street where the march will conclude at the Seneca Falls Community Center.
The area is expected to be congested, according to Chief Stuart Peenstra. If you are traveling during these times expect delays and detours, he concluded.
Thousands are expected to arrive in Seneca Falls on Saturday for the rally and march, which will mirror events held last January. FingerLakes1.com will have full-coverage of the march and rally. Stay tuned throughout the weekend for the latest on this historic event taking place in the Birthplace of Women’s Rights.
