Penn Yan Police tell us a homeless man is in custody following a physical altercation during the early-morning hours on Thursday.
Details of the incident were not initially released, but David Zimmerman is said to have been involved in a physical altercation with another individual on Thursday, and after being taken into custody urinated in a trash can at police headquarters.
The incident resulted in multiple charges, including an assault, criminal mischief and tampering charge.
Zimmerman is now being held at the Yates County Jail.
