FLX Live announces Saturday, Sunday events

2017 has been an exciting year for live music in the Finger Lakes and FLX Live at 427 Exchange Street in Geneva has been excited about its contributions to the music scene of the area. The venue has some exciting plans to finish off their opening year!

Ithaca, NY-based intelligent dance music powerhouse Big Mean Sound Machine team up with funky vinyl spinning DJ Gourd to send 2017 out in style with a massive dance party at FLX Live in Geneva, NY tonight, Saturday December 30th. The 10 piece all original afro-funk band features a full horn section intertwining groovy melodies amongst rock solid lyrical bass, drums and percussion all to push forward their mission of bringing people together through the power of music and communal dance.

Long time favorites of the local Finger Lakes Grassroots Festival of Music & Dance, Big Mean Sound Machine have been touring all over the United States in support of their fourth studio album, Runnin’ for the Ghost, released this past year. “Their music is a one-of-a kind, experimental take on the genre. New Years Eve the party continues with local favorites CC & The Roadrunners. This Premiere Party Band is sure to please the crowd, playing Oldies, Rock n Roll, Blues, and Country! If dancing the night away to timeless classics with your friends sounds like a fun way to ring in 2018, entry is $5 for all night or $10 VIP and includes complimentary Bubbly toast and small bite foods.

Doors Open 8 PM and the show kicks off soon after, with the final set starting with the countdown to the New Year and rockin into the new year!
