Members of the Waterloo High Rotary Interact Club took time out from their holiday celebrations to pack extra bags of food for the Trevor’s Gift food backpack program.
This is the seventh year the students have provided an extra bag of food for the backpack program, which provides food for their nutritionally needy classmates.
The program needed the extra food so students would have enough to eat during the holiday vacation.
“The reason we do it is the reason we joined Interact in the first place,” said Interact member Ashley Ross. “We just like to help people and make a difference. We just want to help give them the Christmas everyone deserves and Trevor’s Gift is a way to help students who don’t have what all of us have.”
