Ithaca woman pleads guilty to robbery on night of ex-boyfriend’s death

An Ithaca woman pleaded guilty on Friday to robbing her ex-boyfriend of his marijuana plants last December in Newfield in an incident which resulted in the man’s death.

Jamie Gerhart pleaded guilty to felony first-degree robbery of Camden Rundell. According to court documents, Andrew Bonavia, deputy district attorney, and Diane Lama, assistant district attorney, recommend a five-year prison sentence and 2 ½ years of post-release supervision for Gerhart.

Initially, Gerhart also was charged with second-degree murder and fourth-degree conspiracy. Other court documents also show Gerhart was charged with criminal possession of a firearm and attempted tampering with evidence.
