A Cayuga County man was arrested for drunk driving Friday night after crashing his car in the town of Victory, state police said.
In a press release, police said 37-year-old Eric W. Richardson was taken into custody at around 11 p.m. after troopers responded to a property damage accident on Route 38. Richardson, of Red Creek, allegedly failed several standard field sobriety tests and registered a blood alcohol content of .28 percent, more than three times the legal limit.
Richardson was charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated and operating a motor vehicle with a BAC greater than .08 percent, all misdemeanors. He was also charged with moving from a lane unsafely and speeding, both infractions.
