Josh Mull of Waterloo, an art teacher at Canandaigua Primary School, is the illustrator for a children’s book titled “Escape to Cloud Castle,” written by fellow teacher David Smith.
Mull, who is also a member of the Waterloo Village Board, created the book illustrations in pen and ink and water color. The book project took Smith and Mull over two years to complete.
It is a “Three Pigs” adventure that takes place in a small lakeside community not unlike Canandaigua.
Mull also just completed his third self-published book. The first two were “Petey and the Mean Pirates” and “Captain Carl’s Vacation,” completed in 2008 and 2010 as a collaboration with another author.
