The Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office reports that a 47-year-old Tyrone resident died after allegedly jumping from a moving vehicle.
Deputies say that they received a call stating that a male subject had jumped from a vehicle on State Route 14A in the Town of Reading.
The entire incident unfolded on Tuesday around 2:46 pm.
A preliminary investigation revealed that Erik B. Morse, 47, of Tyrone died as result of injuries he sustained during the incident, which remains under investigation.
The Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by State Police, Schuyler County Ambulance, as well as Watkins Glen and Dundee fire departments.
