A 53-year-old Clifton Springs man was charged with aggravated DWI after a crash at the intersection of State Route 96 and Fallbrook Circle.
Deputies say John P. Beckens, 53, was traveling west on State Route 96 in his Ford Mustang when he attempted to turn onto Fallbrook Circle. However, deputies say due to unsafe speed – Beckens lost control of his vehicle and collided with a guide rail at the intersection.
He submitted to a breath test, which indicated his BAC was greater than .18 percent. He was issued traffic citations for driving while intoxicated and unsafe speed.
The charges will be answered at a later date.
