A Wayland woman was arrested by investigators in Steuben County after allegedly making a false assistance request to Department of Social Services.
Kayla A. Swift, 18, was taken into custody by deputies at the Public Safety Building in Bath. She is accused of reporting a false temporary assistance application.
She was charged with one count of offering a false instrument for filing, a Class E felony.
She was processed at the Sheriff’s Office and released on appearance tickets.
