A total of five buildings were severely damaged after a blaze early-Sunday in Walworth.
Two of those buildings were labeled a ‘total loss’ according to first responders.
The fire started around 5:05 am on Wester Walworth Road. That fire spread to neighboring buildings, eventually spreading to a lawnmower store; and occupied residence.
The site of the initial fire, as well as the lawnmower store have been declared a ‘total loss’ after the blaze. Crews were working to demolish the remains of the lawnmower store Sunday morning.
A vehicle was also damaged by the fire, and multiple crews from Wayne County were called to the scene.
It’s unclear what caused the fire. State Police are on-scene, and an investigation is underway.
