Sheriff: 19-year-old violated probation following grand larceny conviction

Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard reports that on December 5th deputies arrested James P. Scott, 19, of Newfield due to a violation of probation warrant issued by the Steuben County Court.

Scott previously convicted on a charge of Grand Larceny in the fourth degree, allegedly violated the terms and conditions of his probation.



The Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office in this arrest.

He was transported to the Steuben County Jail pending arraignment without issue.
