Cato traffic stop leads to DWI charge for Jordan man

On Sunday Troopers arrested a Jordan man in Cato for driving while intoxicated after police observed him speeding on Jordan Road.

Ricky A. Jewett, 59, of Jordan was charged with driving while intoxicated, operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content greater than .08 percent, drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle on a highway, refusal to submit to a breath test and speeding.



Jewett was stopped on Jordan Road in the Town of Cato for speeding.

He was placed under arrest after failing multiple standard field sobriety tests.

He was transported to State Police Auburn after refusing the roadside breath test. He provided a breath sample of .13 percent at the station.

Jewett was issued uniform traffic tickets returnable to the Town of Cato Court on December 18th, 2017.
