A Steuben County man faces multiple charges after two separate incidents, including weapons charges.
Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard reports that on December 2nd deputies arrested Ivan E. Caparulo, 34, of Cameron.
Caparulo was taken into custody by deputies in the Town of Cameron due to allegedly possessing a weapon, which was identified as a rifle, as a convicted felon.
He was charged with one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree, a misdemeanor, arraigned in the Town of Bath Court and remanded to the Steuben County Jail on $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 secured bond.
Mr. Caparulo is scheduled to reappear in the Town of Cameron Court on December 12th, 2017.
Mr Caparulo was also charged in a separate incident involving a motor vehicle crash in the Town of Jasper which he was issued summons for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the second degree, unlicensed operator, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, operating a vehicle without an interlock device, moving from lane unsafely, failure to keep right, and having no displayed number plate.
He was arraigned in the Town of Jasper Court and released on his own recognizance, to return on January 2nd, 2018 for additional court action
