Want a nice weekend to get out in the Finger Lakes?
This might be the best one of December, if the long-term trends hold together. Forecasters say that it’s looking more-and-more like big changes are in the offing – after the region experiences a nice weekend, and warming trend for the first part of next week.
FLX Weather Meteorologist Drew Montreuil says a batch of some thicker clouds will be possible Saturday afternoon as warm air pushes northward. There is a small chance for a shower with this, but the chances are small. Skies should turn at least partly sunny again before sundown. Temperatures will push into the mid-40s on Saturday.
Temperatures will be even warmer on Sunday. He said temperatures will likely be near 50 degrees on Sunday with plenty of sunshine in the forecast. Those mild temperatures are expected to hang around Monday and Tuesday, as well, but then some bigger changes could be setting up.
