The return of bus tours to the former Seneca Army Depot has been a big success, the president of Seneca White Deer Inc. says, pointing to sellouts each of the first two weeks as proof.
And, Dennis Money said there are many December dates and times still available.
Tours are scheduled for 8 a.m., 10 a.m., noon and 2 p.m. every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from December through February. The 90-minute guided sessions on 25-passenger buses cost $30 for adults, $27 for military personnel and senior citizens, and $15 for children 5 to 17.
“We plan to keep the snow plowed and have a different tour experience for our visitors as winter proceeds,” Money said. “With leaves off the trees, visibility through the brush improves greatly, although the white deer can be hard to see against the snow.”
Gifts cards for tours are available at senecawhite deer.org.
