Ontario County duo tried breaking into Canandaigua home

The Canandaigua Police Department arrested two Ontario County residents after authorities say they attempted to enter a residence on Gibson Street that belonged to neither of them.

The owner of the home, according to Canandaigua PD, didn’t even know the two subjects who fled the scene.

Police say that Garret M. Rossi, 26, of Bristol and Thomas D. Greer, 22, of Canandaigua were taken into custody after a short foot chase with responding officers.

Both were transported to the Ontario County Jail to be arraigned.

Both Greer and Rossi was charged with second-degree attempted criminal trespass, and second-degree obstructing governmental administration.

The incident took place around 2:30 am on Monday.
