Adoption of a 2018 budget and finding someone to manage the Seneca Connections Drop-In Center highlight the items to be considered by the Seneca County Board of Supervisors’ various committees Tuesday.
Here’s a look at the main agenda items for the committees:
Mental Health Services
The county is looking for a way to continue services for the mentally disabled at the Seneca Connections Drop-In Center on Cayuga Street in Seneca Falls, a move prompted by Arc of Seneca Cayuga no longer offering peer counselors to provide that service.
An ad hoc committee of the county Community Services Board was asked to come up with a plan for continued operation of the Drop-In Center. The recommendation was to seek an entity capable of providing the necessary management through requests for proposals. The full Community Services Board and county Director of Community Services Margaret Morse have endorsed the plan.
