Actor Samuel Caruana, 16, recently appeared in a commercial for Sprint and iPhone X.
Samuel is the son of Jim Caruana, of Auburn, and grandson of Stephen and Bernice Caruana, also of Auburn. Samuel also attended Seward Elementary School.
The commercial, released Nov. 3, also features soccer star David Beckham. The commercial has aired during “Saturday Night Live,” “The Walking Dead” and NFL games on Fox and CBS.
For the commercial, Samuel was given a mohawk haircut that can be seen at the eight-second mark. He donated his hair to Pantene to be used in wigs for women who have cancer. He did so in honor of his aunt Kathleen Caruana, of Utica, who passed away from cancer on Nov. 25, 2008.
