Deputies say a 37-year-old Penn Yan resident had to be pulled from his pickup truck by firefighters after he was involved in a car accident early-Monday morning.
The wreck happened when deputies say Earl Hoover, 37, of Penn Yan was traveling west on Baker Road when his vehicle passed over black ice – causing his vehicle to slide off the roadway.
The truck left the roadway and hit a tree head on.
He was taken to Soldiers & Sailors Hospital for treatment.
