The Town Board voted 3-2 Monday to create a full-time network administrator position.
The motion was made by Supervisor Greg Lazzaro and seconded by board member Louis Ferrara. Voting in favor were Lazzaro, Ferrara and board member David DeLelys. Opposed were board members Thomas Ruzicka and Vic Porretta.
The position will be a competitive Civil Service job. The person hired will succeed Stoneboat Consulting, a business owned by County Supervisor Steve Churchill. Stoneboat’s contract ends Dec. 31.
