Kyle Arnold, a senior in the Journalism Department at Ithaca College, developed, along with Ismael Byers from Hope College in Holland, Michigan, a short film called, “Solitude: A Companion Abroad,” documenting the four months the two men spent studying in Chile at the renowned Pontifical Catholic University of Chile Santiago.
Although the weather was always hot while there from February through June, Kyle told me the food was delicious, and the experience beyond wonderful. Kyle, a self-professed “video-maker and storyteller” and Ismael recently received news that their film was awarded first place from a field of 93, through the IES Abroad Study Abroad Film Festival, part of the IES Abroad Program.
