Seneca Falls man faces felony drug charge after traffic stop

On November 10th at 2:53 am the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department arrested Joseph M. Longwell, 28, of Seneca Falls following a traffic stop on Auburn Road.

Longwell was stopped by police for a motor vehicle equipment violation, in which the vehicle he was operating had only one functioning headlight.

During the stop it was discovered that Longwell was in possession of a large quantity of marijuana, according to police.



As a result of the traffic stop Longwell was charged with no/inadequate lamp, a violation; unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation; and Criminal Possession of Marijuana in the 3rd degree, a class E felony.

He was processed and released on an appearance ticket. Longwell is scheduled to appear in the Town of Seneca Falls Court on November 16th, 2017, at 10:00 am.
