Seneca Falls CSD, Seneca Falls Police & Auburn non-profit donating 100 Thanksgiving meals to help local families

Seneca Falls Central School District faculty and staff along with the Seneca Falls Police Department are working with Majorpalooza to provide 100 Thanksgiving meals for families in Seneca Falls. This is the 3rd year of the partnership with Majorpalooza, a nonprofit group based Auburn. In the 1st year the partnership provided 12 meals, last year that number grew to 48 meals and this year the goal is 100 meals.

Turkeys have been donated by faculty, staff and police (about 100 turkeys). Cash donations have been made by the local teachers union, police union and It’s a Wonderful Run 5K to help with this cause. Combined with money and food provided by Majorpalooza, this year’s fundraiser should have a major impact on the community in Seneca Falls.

On Tuesday, November 21st from 7:00 – 9:00 am in the Mynderse High School gym lobby, the partnership will be collecting the nearly 100 donated turkeys. On Wednesday, November 22nd, they will be going out to get all the trimmings, assembling everything in bags. Once the meals are packaged, they will begin delivering them to families.

The meals will consist of the following:

Pumpkin Pie
Pasta and Sauce (for future meals)
Macaroni and Cheese (for future meals)
