Puppies by appointment only: A man is asking a town zoning board for permission to sell puppies for money out of his home in Yates County. But that’s not what some neighbors are upset about.
John Sensenig filed an application in the Town of Barrington, asking to sell up to 500 puppies per year from a farm that his family owns. But his neighbors say he’s running an illegal puppy mill operation already.
Local media went to Yates County for answers. A map took us to a home just off Route 14A in Dundee, Yates County. No one was there, but it is the same address listed on the application sent to the Barrington Zoning Board. It is a request from John Sensenig, asking for permission to sell puppies on the premises. It says the puppies would be sold by appointment only, 24 hours a day, six days a week. It spells out clearly: No breeding, no kennels.
