On November 13th a 36-year-old Savannah man was involved in a crash on County Rd. 7 in Manchester.
According to deputies, Shane Carpenter, 36, of Savannah was operating a 1994 Ford Dump Truck, traveling south on County Rd. 7 when a front tire blew causing him to lose control of his vehicle.
The truck overturned and came to rest against a tree, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Members of the Port Gibson Fire Department and Finger Lakes Ambulance responded to the scene.
Carpenter was transported to Clifton Springs Hospital for a check-over. He was released from the hospital.
The cause of the accident was determined to be equipment failure.
