The following is a republished release from Seneca County Sheriff Tim Luce and Undersheriff John Cleere on police activity for the month of October. The Sheriff’s Office received more than 1,000 calls for service during the month of October and saw several significant arrests.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE MONTH:
October 2nd: Investigators made an arrest after solving a felony Identity Theft and Larceny in the Town of Junius.
October 11th: Road Patrol responded to a Domestic Violence call with a knife involved. The subject making threats was arrested and no one was harmed.
October 12th: The Narco Unit executed a search warrant in the Town of Waterloo. A subject was charged for possessing and trafficking crack cocaine.
October 19th: The Family Services Unit investigated a physical child abuse case in the Town of Romulus. A male subject was charged with several counts of Endangering the Welfare of a child.
October 20th: The Family Services Unit investigated a child sex abuse case in the Town of Fayette. A male subject was charged for engaging in sexual activity and conduct with a child.
Both of the above child abuse cases were handled using the new Child Advocacy Center in Waterloo.
October 26th: The Narco Unit took down a subject in the Town of Waterloo for possessing multiple packets of fentanyl packaged for sale.
