David Crosby to perform in Ithaca on Wednesday night

David Crosby has his groove back.

With a new album and a new tour that brings him and his band (no, not THAT band) to the State Theatre November 8th, it’s clear that the iconic musician and two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee who has defied the odds most of his life keeps showing he is one of the most resilient artists in the industry.

The Sept. 29 release of SkyTrails prompted a USA Today writer to proclaim that Crosby, at 76, “may be just warming up as a solo artist.” It is Crosby’s third album of original material in four years, all largely influenced by his son, James Raymond: the keyboard player in his band, “Sky Trails’” producer and the co-writer on four of its songs.
